The Mission Committee has decided to continue Ann’s Angels to
help our church members, the Gimenez family. They traveled to the US to escape
the political upheaval in Venezuela which left them without their business (a
green grocery) and a way to provide a living for their family. While they await
their immigration hearing, they are not permitted to work, despite a strong desire
to do so. We know that many in our congregation would happily help if they only
knew how. Donations of cash or checks to Ann’s Angels will be used to directly
pay their landlord, electric bill or purchase gift cards to Walmart so they can shop
for food they need beyond what the food pantry supplies. You may also use the
Signup Genius for the household and personal items listed below, and bring them
in to church and place them in the Ann’s Angels box. Meeting their rent, utilities
and food requirements weigh heavily on them and are our first priority. The
family has repeatedly expressed their deepest gratitude for all our church family
has done, and they feel so proud to be members of our community.
