2021 Children’s Virtual Christmas Pageant

Giving Tree 2021

This year, we plan to return to actually having our Giving Tree in the Narthex by late November and collecting items to help meet the ongoing needs of Star House and Choices/Faith Mission. Supporting these organizations through Second Mile for November and December is one way to help those in need. Providing items from their wishlist is also of great help. Thanks and Giving Service

The annual Thanks and Giving Service will be held via zoom on Thursday, Nov. 18th, 7 p.m.  Speakers from various faith traditions will speak about giving thanks and finding gratitude especially in the months of the Pandemic.  There will also be musical selections.  This event is sponsored by SAIL, Safe Alliance of Interfaith Leaders.  Please contact Barb Anderson for more information and to receive the zoom link.  andersonfamily2214@gmail.com

In light of the many disasters and events impacting our country and the world, the Mission Committee suggests that those who can help should go to the UCC Website, ucc.org At this site, you can find the disaster relief fund and all the info. that you need to make a donation to a trusted organization to ensure that your donations arrive at the best place to make an impact.  

Rummage Sale Update

RUMMAGE REMNANTS: *Please refrain from dropping off rummage donations.  We recently have had a rash of folks leaving items on the DCC “doorstep.”  Certainly, they must be well-intentioned but there is simply NO available storage.  If it is necessary to get rid of your treasures now, we encourage you to donate to a local worthy cause. *Many thanks again to Paul Ruddy who donated 4 boxes of new towels and to Brenda Herman who has again successfully sold them online.  …

Eyeglass Donations

Through your “amazing grace…some who were blind can now see!” Your gift of no longer needed eyeglasses “enables” others to see better. We have a designated box in the Narthex on our “Missions table” to collect eyeware for local optometrist, Dr. Boltz, to repurpose these for those in need.
